The world’s largest cruise ship Freedom of the Seas under construction for Royal Caribbean Inc. at Aker Finnyards Turku shipyard in Finland (formerly Kvaerner Masa-Yards) is to be fitted with LevelDatic for remote on-line level monitoring of fuel tanks, fresh water and ballast water tanks. Dry compartments and void spaces will also be continuously monitored on-line by LevelDatic for possible water ingress.

Finnlines new ropax-vessels with LevelDatic The five new ropax-vessels for Finnlines being built at Fincantieri in Italy will all be fitted with LevelDatic for fuel and ballast tank level gauging. These vessels will also feature the new LevelDatic Dynamic List and Trim system, which has recently been developed. Void space water ingress monitoring will possibly be added later.
LevelDatic WIM for Bulk Carriers the next generation system A special application, LevelDatic WIM, has been developed for on-line water ingress detection and monitoring in cargo holds and void spaces on bulk carriers.
The Finnish bulk carrier MV Kontula owned by ESL Shipping Ltd. is the first bulk carrier fitted with this next generation water ingress detection and monitoring system. The system not only detects possible water ingress but provides in addition on-line information on the water level change.
