LevelDatic is the ideal solution for replacing or upgrading failed existing level gauging systems.

Many oil, products and chemical tankers, LNG carriers, car carriers, passenger vessels and ferries have been retrofitted with LevelDatic.

The retrofits are always carried out in close cooperation with the shipowner or manager, with the objective of reducing installation costs and possible off-hire.

We have carried out complete retrofits onboard ships, even on cruise vessels, while they have been sailing making money for their owners!

The retrofits can be delivered as turnkey installations with SF-Control carrying out and supervising the installation of air piping and system cabinets, and the commissioning.

Or the retrofit installation of the air piping and the cabinets can be carried out by the shipowner with SF-Control advising and checking the installation before commissioning of the system. Commissioning is always carried out by SF-Control or our service agents.

We make best possible use of old system installation when carrying out the retrofit. In many cases existing sounding pipes can be used, or protection pipes of failed level gauging system, if present.

We can also provide part retrofits, and later add level gauging for fuel tanks and void space water ingress monitoring when considered appropriate by the shipowner.
